  • 2022 Community Spirit Award Winners

Cold Stone Creamery — a locally owned ice cream store franchise — is the recipient of the 2022 Small Business Community Spirit Award. Owners Petey Helm and Kelli Turner have operated at this location since 2019.

“Cold Stone Creamery is an awesome locally owned store with great ice cream and friendly service. In addition, they have provided amazing support year after year to its local public schools via fundraisers and free item donations. The owners and their team never turned down a request for fundraising or donations, even when their own business was suffering during and after COVID. I hope they get recognized by the community for all the good they have done over the years.”

MTech Mechanical is the recipient of the 2022 Large Business Community Spirit Award. MTech’s Corporate Headquarters is in Westminster and is one of the City’s largest employers. They specialize in mechanical and plumbing work across the Rocky Mountain region.

“As part of MTech Mechanical’s 20th anniversary, they are partnering with 20 charitable organizations across Colorado throughout this year. Their goal has always been to give back to charitable causes across Colorado in communities which their team members live, work and play. Additionally, throughout the year they will be partnering with charitable organizations across Colorado for special events, volunteer days and a donation of $2,022 to each cause.”
