The WestyRISE initiative helped the Westminster community recover from the initial phases of the COVID-19 crisis by providing resources and programs specifically targeted toward Westminster economic resilience, including business grants, housing grants, outreach and supplies.

Created to satisfy fixed costs stemming from monthly rental and mortgage payments
Aided local restaurants and bars which had a decline in sales due to public health orders
Two rounds of grants were provided to businesses and restaurants
Created to provide local businesses with grants up to $35,000, dependent on business needs, for job retention; in partnership with Adams County’s Community & Economic Development Department
Daily, restaurant-prepared meals delivered to residents over the age of 60 who are struggling to put food on their tables
Weekly food boxes distributed at a “Market Night” for families in need, including a $35 gift certificate to a Westminster restaurant
Created to provide rent/mortgage assistance and prevent evictions and keep individuals housed
Westminster City Council passed a resolution to procure and distribute cloth face coverings for free to Westminster businesses
COVID-19 water bill assistance expanded from $50 to $100 due to funds from the Federal CARES Act
Created to reach out to our businesses community and inquire about COVID-19 related needs
